2019, October 28: "Water Rescue"
Mt Zion Fire along with Harding Fire, Harding Mt Zion EMS, Exeter Township Police, Pittston Medic 29, Duryea Scuba, West Pittston Fire, and Lake Winola Fire responded for a reported boat sinking in the water, unknown if anyone around the boat in distress. Mt Zion Fire found an old partially submerged boat, floating down the Susquehanna River with no one around. The boat was removed from the water by Bovani's Towing.
2019, June 2: Mt Zion Rescue responds to a MVC
Mt Zion Rescue responded for a MVC in the 1600 block of Rt 92 for an one-car MVC that took out a PPL utility pole.
2019, May 31: Mt Zion UTV, ATV, and Special Operations responded to assist Duryea with a rescue
On Friday afternoon, Mt Zion Fire responded to assist Duryea with a victim of an ATV accident in the area of Campbell's Ledge. Mt Zion UTV and ATV responded along with the Special Operations. Ropes and Rigging were made available if needed. The victim was transported out of the woods by Excelsior Hose Co. #2 UTV. Care was transferred to Commonwealth EMS and Lehigh Valley MedEVAC.
Incidents like these take the cooperation of many organizations. Those involved were Excelsior Hose Co #2 (Duryea), Germania Hose Company (Duryea), Commonweath EMS Medic 38, Avoca EMS, Pittston Township Fire, Hughstown Hose Company, Greenwood Fire Department (Moosic), Pittston City Fire, Avoca Fire Department, and Mt Zion Fire Company. All this was coordinated through the Luzerne County 911 Center.

2019, April 13: Tree and power lines down on Schooley Road
Just before our Rope Rescue 3 training today, Mt Zion Fire responded for a tree down on power lines on Schooley Road. As Mt Zion Rescue arrived on scene, the call was discovered to be in Exeter Borough. Exeter Fire was notified. Mt Zion Fire placed barricades to block off Schooley Road.
2019, March 13: Assist to Exeter Borough for a Brush Fire
Mt Zion Brush Truck 1 and Rescue responded to assist Exeter Borough with a small brush fire across the street from the Exeter Fire Department. Due to the swampy conditions, the fire was very difficult to access for the crews from Exeter, Mt Zion, and Hughstown.
2019, January 13: Field fire off Perry Road
Mt Zion Rescue/Pumper and Tanker 1 along with Harding Rescue and the Harding Mt Zion Ambulance responded to this field fire off Perry Road. The fire was approximately 1/2 acre and was quickly extinguished with two pressurized fire extinguishers (PWs), and water from our Rescue/Pumper.
