2019, Another record year for Mt Zion Fire with 332 calls

On four occasions, we were assisted Franklin Township Fire, Jackson Township Fire, Lake Winola Fire, Newton Ransom Fire, Northmoreland Township Fire, Trucksville Fire, West Pittston Fire, and West Wyoming Fire.
 
We assisted the Harding Mt Zion Ambulance, Exeter Fire, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Forestry), Pittston Township Fire, Trucksville Fire, and West Wyoming Fire.


Mt Zion Fire continues to respond every time the call for help sounds.  In 2017, we responded to 240 calls:

During the year, we received help six times from some of our neighboring towns: Exeter Fire, Franklin Fire, Hughstown Fire, Lake Winola Fire, Northmoreland Fire, Trucksville Fire, West Pittston Fire, and West Wyoming Fire.
 
Besides assisting the Harding Mt Zion Ambulance, we also assisted other communities eleven times: Exeter Fire, Jenkins Fire, Northmoreland Fire, Pittston Township Fire, and West Wyoming Fire
.


The Mt Zion Bicentennial Volunteer Fire Company responded to a record number 312 calls in 2016:

• 13 Fire Alarms
• 7 Fire Investigations
• 6 Hazardous Conditions
• 21 Motor Vehicle Crashes (some requiring extrication)
• 3 Mulch/Rubbish Fires
• 2 Public Assists
• 8 Structure Fires (residential and commercial)
• 6 Traffic Control
• 25 Trees Down
• 3 Utility Wires Down
• 1 Vehicle Fire
• 9 Wildland Fire


During the year we assisted many of our neighbors including DCNR, Duryea, Exeter, Franklin, Northmoreland, Pittston Township, and West Wyoming. We also received help from Franklin, Hughstown, Lake Winola, Trucksville, West Pittston, and West Wyoming.

For all those who have helped us throughout the years whether financially, giving time, or however you helped, we truly thank you. We cannot maintain this fire company and its services to our community and the surrounding communities without your help.
